 Each module of the Datasign is interchangeable.
A simple connector powers and controls the mechanical engine which scrolls to
the desired character for the module. There are no wire
harnesses or elaborate wiring configurations needed, and the entire sign
runs on 110 volts of electricity (standard household current).
The module contains a silk screened Mylar film which is printed with all the characters.
When programmed, a message is sent to the key module, and each module then scrolls
individually to the appropriate letter or character to create the readable message.
